Connect Strapi to Blog Automation

Articles become entries of a content type in Strapi 5 (self-hosted or Strapi Cloud). You map the fields once: title, slug, text, summary, cover image, tags, SEO fields and date.

Where do I find what in Strapi?

Field in Blog AutomationWhere to find it in Strapi
Strapi addressThe address of your Strapi installation, e.g. https://cms.your-company.com (without /admin).
API tokenSettings → API Tokens. Shown only once.
Address of the articles on your website (optional)A pattern like https://www.your-company.com/blog/{slug} - so Blog Automation can link to the finished article.

What is transferred to Strapi?

The field mapping only offers fitting fields. Article text goes into a "Rich text (Blocks)" field or, as Markdown, into a "Rich text (Markdown)" field; cover image into a media field (uploaded); slug into a UID field; date into a date field. Fields inside a component such as seo.metaTitle appear with a dot.

Tips for Strapi

  • With "Draft & Publish" switched on for the content type, drafts and publishing are kept apart.

Good to know about Strapi

  • Multiple-media fields and repeatable components are not offered.
  • Images inside the article text stay links; only the cover image is uploaded.
