For medical and health practices
Patient information on your blog, prepared with AI and approved by your practice
Patients want to understand what lies ahead before their appointment. Blog Automation prepares clear posts, your practice checks them professionally and approves them.
Patient information, not advertising promises
Many questions come up in every surgery: how does an examination work, how do I prepare, what does insurance cover? A blog with factual, easy-to-follow answers takes pressure off your phone line and helps patients arrive well prepared.
Blog Automation writes the drafts in your brand voice. A doctor or another professionally responsible person in your practice checks every post before it goes live. Medical responsibility stays where it belongs.
Typical uses
- Explaining procedures: check-ups, examinations, treatments, aftercare.
- Practical information: opening hours, holiday cover, prescriptions and referrals, online booking.
- Seasonal notes: the practice's vaccination offers, hay fever season, travel preparation.
- Frequent questions: what your front desk explains every day, checked once and on your blog.
Example topics
- Professional teeth cleaning: what happens
- Health check-ups: what is examined
- Back care when working from home
- Your first physiotherapy appointment: what to bring
- New opening hours from January
What to pay particular attention to
Health advertising is strictly regulated in Germany. The main points, in general terms and without claiming to be complete:
- Heilmittelwerbegesetz (HWG, German law on advertising for medicinal products and treatments): no promises of a cure and no claims that suggest a treatment will certainly succeed. Prescription medicines must not be advertised to the general public. Special limits apply to before-and-after images and to advertising certain procedures.
- Professional rules: the professional code for doctors allows factual, profession-related information. Boastful, misleading or comparative advertising breaches professional rules. Other health professions have their own rules.
- Confidentiality and data protection: never enter patient data into the AI, including case examples that seem anonymous but contain recognisable details. Health data is specially protected under the GDPR.
- Accuracy: AI text can be wrong or out of date. Every medical statement needs a professional check before approval, ideally with a source such as clinical guidelines or information from professional societies.
This is not legal advice. If in doubt, ask your professional chamber or a lawyer specialising in medical law.
How Blog Automation helps
- Approval workflow: AI posts always go to review first (recommended setting). In the Pro plan you use roles to decide who may approve, for example only the practice owner.
- Activity log: who reviewed and approved what and when is recorded.
- Brand voice: calm, factual and in the form of address your practice uses.
- Hosted in Germany, with a DPA: the application runs in Germany and the data processing agreement applies in every plan. For the AI features we use OpenAI as a processor, details under sub-processors.
Frequently asked questions
Can the AI publish medical posts without review?
You should not allow that. Keep "Always send AI articles to review first" switched on in the settings and give the right to approve only to professionally responsible people. Then no post goes live without human review.
Can I paste patient questions into the AI?
Only without personal data. Phrase the question in general terms, for example "How do I prepare for a colonoscopy?", and leave out names, dates and findings.
