Integration
Connect Notion to Blog Automation
The target is a Notion database: every article becomes a page in it. The article is the page content; the columns receive title, summary, tags, date and image link.
What you need for Notion
- A Notion workspace in which you may create integrations (workspace owner).
- A database (table) for the articles, e.g. with the columns Name, Tags (multi-select), Date and Status.
Step by step: connect Notion
- Open notion.so/my-integrations → New integration, type Internal, and enable the capabilities Read content, Insert content and Update content. Copy the secret (
ntn_…). - In Notion open your database → … → Connections and add your integration.
- In Blog Automation: Websites & blogs → Connect website → Notion. Enter the secret and click Check connection.
- Choose the database and map the columns (a column for the title is required). Choose the language and click Save.
Where do I find what in Notion?
| Field in Blog Automation | Where to find it in Notion |
|---|---|
| Integration secret | notion.so/my-integrations → your integration → "Secret". Starts with ntn_. |
| Address of the articles on your website (optional) | If a website shows the Notion pages: a pattern like https://www.your-company.com/blog/{slug}. |
What is transferred to Notion?
Title → title column, article text → page content, cover image → page cover (and optionally a URL or files column), tags → multi-select, date → date, summary, slug and SEO fields → text columns.
Tips for Notion
- If you want to approve articles in Notion first, add a "Status" column and filter your view by it.
Good to know about Notion
- Notion has no drafts: every article immediately becomes a page in the database.
- On updates the page content is replaced; anything you added to the page is lost.
- Tables in the article become plain paragraphs.
