Integration
Connect Hygraph to Blog Automation
Articles become entries of a model in your Hygraph project - with title, slug, rich text, summary, cover image (asset), tags and date.
What you need for Hygraph
- A Hygraph project with a model (e.g. "Post") that has a rich text field for the article.
- Permission to create Permanent Auth Tokens in the project settings.
Step by step: connect Hygraph
- In Hygraph open Project settings → Endpoints and copy the Content API address.
- Under Permanent Auth Tokens create a token and give it Read, Create, Update and Publish for your model (and Create for assets).
- Copy the token.
- In Blog Automation: Websites & blogs → Connect website → Hygraph. Enter address and token, then click Check connection.
- Choose the model, map the fields, choose status and language and click Save.
Where do I find what in Hygraph?
| Field in Blog Automation | Where to find it in Hygraph |
|---|---|
| Content API address | Project settings → Endpoints → "Content API", e.g. https://eu-central-1.cdn.hygraph.com/content/…/master. |
| Permanent Auth Token | Project settings → Permanent Auth Tokens. |
What is transferred to Hygraph?
Article text → rich text field, title/summary/slug → string fields, cover image → asset field (Hygraph fetches the image itself from a link), tags → string list, date → Date or DateTime.
Tips for Hygraph
- Only models the token may create are offered - if yours is missing, the token lacks permissions.
Good to know about Hygraph
- Without a rich text field the article text cannot be transferred.
- Tables in the article become plain paragraphs.
