Connect RSS feed to Blog Automation
Blog Automation serves an RSS and Atom feed containing only the articles you publish to it - full text, cover image, date. For newsletter tools, Zapier, feed readers or imports.
What you need for RSS feed
- Nothing but Blog Automation.
Step by step: connect RSS feed
- In Blog Automation: Websites & blogs → Connect website → RSS feed.
- Give the feed a name and, if you like, a description and your website.
- After saving you see the feed address (RSS and Atom). Use it, for example, in an RSS campaign of your newsletter tool.
- Every article you publish here appears in the feed straight away.
Where do I find what in RSS feed?
| Field in Blog Automation | Where to find it in RSS feed |
|---|---|
| Feed description (optional) | One sentence shown by feed readers. |
| Your website (optional) | Address including https:// that the feed points to. |
| Address of the articles on your website (optional) | If the articles are also on your website: a pattern like https://www.your-company.com/blog/{slug}. |
Tips for RSS feed
- Substack and many newsletter tools (e.g. Mailchimp, Brevo) can take posts from an RSS feed.
- Every website in Blog Automation can also switch on its own feed - on the website’s page under RSS feed.
Good to know about RSS feed
- The feed shows the latest 50 articles.
- The address contains a secret part. Anyone who knows it can read the feed; "New address" replaces it.
Frequently asked questions about RSS feed
My newsletter tool does not pick up new articles.
Most tools only read feeds every few hours. Check that the article really was published to this feed.
Can I fill Medium this way?
Medium no longer has a supported API. Use Medium’s "Import a story" with the article’s address instead.
