Connect DEV Community to Blog Automation
Articles appear on dev.to or another Forem community - as Markdown with title, cover image, up to 4 tags, description, an optional series and the original address.
What you need for DEV Community
- An account on dev.to (or another Forem community).
Step by step: connect DEV Community
- Open dev.to → Settings → Extensions → DEV Community API Keys, enter a description and click Generate API Key.
- In Blog Automation: Websites & blogs → Connect website → DEV Community. Enter the key and click Check connection.
- Optionally enter a series and the original address, choose status and language and click Save.
Where do I find what in DEV Community?

Tips for DEV Community
- If the articles also appear on your website, be sure to enter the original address.
Good to know about DEV Community
- At most 4 tags, letters and digits only - other characters are removed.
- dev.to throttles new accounts (HTTP 429). Blog Automation then retries automatically later.
